remember that time hunger games fans flipped their shit because rue, who IS actually black in the books, was rightfully cast as black in the film? apparently their rose-colored white-is-default glasses made their eyes gloss over that tidbit of info. (let’s not even get wholeheartedly into the fact that katniss was described as having olive skin and jet black hair but her casting call specifically asked for only white actresses…because non-whites could never be expected to have dark hair and tan skin amirite?!)

so that’s why i don’t give a shit if you think i’m “overreacting” about jj abrams having a white actor play khan noonien singh. i’m not that surprised by it, since actors of color are routinely dismissed, but i still reserve the right to be pissed.

I hate that I’m being sucked into this drama, but I will defend myself. Yes, I know Naya is also black, and I’m not ‘racist’ I’ve dated a black guy myself. I should’ve explained myself better though. What I meant was since being with Sean, he’s starting to rub off on her. Again, I know she’s black, but I don’t recall her ever using poor grammar in her tweets before, that’s all I’m saying. Enough with calling her fans ‘racist’ just because not everyone likes him. I don’t like his personality, or music, his fans do, and that’s fine whatever. Everyone has posted their opinions about him good or bad, I don’t agree with all, but I ‘ignore’ them, and it works both ways. if you don’t like mine, then by all means ‘ignore’ but don’t call me ‘racist’ or anyone else who shares my opinion.

Sean graduated high school with a 3.7 gpa and a full ride to college. So…. yeah your argument? Moot. Try again. Oh and dating black doesn’t not make you racist. Just saying.
